I started my 614Fitness journey in April 2016, about six months after receiving a diagnosis of osteoporosis. I was kind of afraid to move, for fear of a fracture, so I started doing research and discovered strength training activities are recommended for folks with osteoporosis. I knew I needed to get stronger, and improve my bone density.
Marie listened to my concerns and developed exercises I felt comfortable doing. I have made steady progress in my journey as I initially had difficulty doing basic moves like squats and balance activities. I now feel comfortable doing advanced activities using heavier weights and body movements.
I have had significant improvement in my bone density, and feel much more comfortable in moving around. I’ve lost five pounds, gained muscle, and gone down three pant sizes. I still have osteoporosis, but I’m confident that with Marie’s help I’ll keep developing more bone density until osteoporosis isn’t an issue for me anymore.
Thank you, Marie and 614Fitness for making strength training productive and fun!
